Methodist is Action (MIA Sunday)

In 2009, JFUMC joined a small number of churches in canceling our worship services and LIFE Groups the Sunday after Easter so we could focus all our efforts on community service.  Since that early beginning our church has mobilized more than 1000 volunteers in dozens of projects, such as light renovations at our schools, city park clean-up projects, assembling school bags for global distribution, and much more. Many of those projects have expanded to year-long projects.

Since 2009, the movement to have a weekend mission event has grown rapidly, with more than 2000 events taking place in 15 countries in 2011. 

JFUMC continues to have MIA Sunday the Sunday after Easter.
