SERVANT LEADERSHIP

Leadership at JFUMC comes in lots of forms, from ministry-in-action to committee meetings, from clean-up crews to construction teams. All of these have one thing in common: they follow the example of Jesus Christ who humbled himself and served others right where they were. We seek Christian leaders who are not focused on building themselves up, but rather on lifting the entire church, the body of Christ, in a way that shares Christ’s love with everyone.

To that end, we ask for volunteers for our ministries. We encourage every person in the church to first develop a personal relationship with God through Christ (LOVE GOD), then to seek to grow stronger in your faith by joining a LIFE group (LOVE OTHERS). Finally we ask everyone to find a deeper understanding of how God has created you through Spiritual Gifts studies, input from others, and prayer so that you can find the right place to do what you do best (SERVE THE WORLD).
