Senior Pastor
Rev. Mark McDonald
Rev. Mark McDonald was appointed as Sr. Pastor at FUMC in June of 2008, and has been serving the United Methodist church as a pastor since 1990. After his internship at FUMC in Morrilton, Pastor Mark served in Huntsville, Elm Springs, and Booneville before moving to Jacksonville.
“I love being in Jacksonville. It is a wonderful community ready for an Easter-miracle, and I’m excited to be part of a mission-driven, community-minded congregation. I hope to be here for years to come!” Mark is a movie nut and loves to spend time with his family. His favorite part of ministry is preaching, but he also loves planning and working with others doing ministry and mission projects.
Mark has been married to Kelley for 19 years, and Kelley also works part-time on staff at FUMC as the graphic and web designer. Mark & Kelley have five children. The oldest son, adopted into their family, lives and works in Morrilton. The other three sons and daughter live at home, with their ages ranging from 5 to 14.

Martha and I are so glad to be appointed again to Jacksonville First. We have grown older, thank you, Lord, and I hope wiser. As many of you remember from past service we have three grown children. We have seven grandchildren and six great-grands!
For the last four years we have served the Springfield/Mallettown Charge in Conway County. We live at the same place we hvae lived since retiring from full-time ministry.
As the associate pastor, I will be responsible for working with the ministry to shut-ins, nursing homes, the Towers and Transitions, working with CareBearers and assisting Mark in worship.
We are glad to be in ministry with you all again.
